About the Chorus of East Providence
Mission:
to educate its members and the public about music and choral singing while fostering an appreciation of music by all, enhancing the cultural life of the community.
The Chorus of East Providence
was incorporated as a Rhode Island non-profit organization in September 2007 and is now designated as a 501(c)(3) status organization. The Chorus is led by its Board of Directors and operates in accordance with its Bylaws.
Beth Armstrong, Music Director
, is the director of the Greater Tiverton Community Chorus and the Summer Chorus of Little Compton and Westport, in addition to the Chorus of East Providence. She teaches at Roger Williams University and maintains a private voice and piano studio in her Bristol home. Previously, she chaired the choral department at the Music School of the Rhode Island Philharmonic, and coordinated both the Junior Providence Singers and the JPS Treble Chorus there. Before moving to Rhode Island, Beth directed the Suncook Valley Chorale in Concord, New Hampshire, and taught public school music for 12 years. A graduate of Tufts University, she pursued a master's degree in Music Education at the University of New Hampshire. Along with her husband, Stewart, she sang in the Providence Singers for five years.
Victoria Lambrozo, Accompanist
, studied music in Ukraine at Mariupol Music College and received her master’s degree in piano from Odessa Conservatory of Music (class of 1994). She has been performing extensively in the United States and Ukraine – both as a soloist and an accompanist - and teaching piano in her studio. She is also accompanying for various choirs, school ensembles, and soloists. Victoria resides in Barrington, RI with her family.
